I initially studied to become a sports physiotherapist and a youth care worker before returning to school to become a veterinary technician – a dream that was inspired by my dog, Veruca. Observing the techs at work during our veterinary visits convinced me that this was my calling.
I joined the hospital in 2014 after graduating from Oulton College in Moncton. I was drawn to this hospital because of its fast-paced environment, allowing me ample opportunities for learning and growth. The practice’s fantastic team, all passionate about their work, made it a perfect fit for me.
I have been with this hospital for over 10 years, during which time I have held various roles such as RVT in our Emergency Department, Pharmacy Technician, Team Lead, and more. As the current Referral Coordinator and RVT, I take pride in delivering efficient service to referring DVMs and ensuring seamless support for patient needs.
Nutrition holds a special place in my heart within the veterinary field, and it played a significant role in my decision to pursue a career in animal medicine. My first pet, a Lhasa Apso named Pichou, ignited my love for caring for in-hospital patients.
On a personal note, I now share a home with my three cats – Diego, Rain, and Opie.
