Snow is such a beautiful part of the winter season. From watching it fall past the street lights on those crisp nights, to waking up and seeing a fresh sheet of glistering snow in your backyard. Not only is it enjoyable for yourself but your pet may also love to go rolling on the cold ground and catching snow while you shovel it out of your driveway.
Snow is great to play around with but with snow comes cold weather, and the cold isn’t the only thing you should be worrying about for your pet. When it comes to your pet this season, make sure you don’t leave them out for too long, the snow can ball up into their paw pads and be very uncomfortable for your pet. Salt and deicers that are spread throughout the roads and sidewalks can be pretty harmful to your pet’s paws and can cause your furbaby some discomfort.
Be sure to look into booties to cover your pet’s feet, or even balm to put on their pads to help from cracking. Also consider, when walking your pet to avoid the areas where the salt is excessive. Doing this can guarantee a happy pup for the holiday season and the only thing you have to worry about is what to get them this Christmas.
