As spring fast approaches, we turn our focus to parasite prevention and a frequent question that comes up is, can worms be passed to humans?

Did you know that sometimes our furry friends can be carrying unwanted travellers without our knowledge? Did you also know that some of these unwelcome guests can also infect you and your family?

When an animal has worms, they shed eggs in the animal’s feces. Once the fecal matter is on the ground, the eggs can then be picked up by many different animals, your family included!

Are your pets up to date on their dewormer? Don’t sleep out on parasites, talk to your veterinarian about what’s the best option for your pets.
